* What kind of school is Oriental English Training School?

Oriental English is an adult English training school which offers a full-time “total immersion” program. Students live in the school during their study period. “Speak English Only ” is the diamond rule of the school.

 

* How old are the students? Where are they from?

The students age 15 or above years old. About 90% of our students come from outside of Zhuhai, including a few from Macau, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

 

* What kind of teacher does the school require?

The school needs qualified teachers who match the following criteria:

 a) Native English Speaker

 b) TEFL/ TESOL/ CELTA teaching qualification

 c) Relevant training or university degree

 d) Overseas teaching experience

 e) Good health and good dress sense

In addition, the teacher should possess flexibility, initiative, a sense of humor, enthusiasm, and good interpersonal relationship skills.

 

* What salary can I expect?

The range of the salary is between 4000-5000RMB per month, depending on qualification and plus a housing allowance. There is a three-month probationary period.

 

* Does the school organize the visa for the teacher?

The school provides and pays for the foreign expert license and multi-entry Z visa with residence permit.

 

* How big are the classes?

The typical class size is around 10 students.

 

* How many hours do teachers work per week?
There are up to 20 teaching hours a week, with 10 office hours. Any teaching hours over 20 will be paid at an overtime rate of 100RMB/hour. There are 2 days off each week, and an end-of -contract bonus equal to the monthly pay.
